"WAITRESS is another must-see musical production in the Muny’s 106th season. Brown’s direction is incredible. She accomplishes the near impossible, staging an intimate musical on a massive stage. Credit her and the entire technical team for pulling off miraculous Muny magic." - James Lindhorst, Broadway World
"John Tartaglia is a magician. He is a master puppeteer and creative storyteller who brings animation to life in grand fashion...This year THE LITTLE MERMAID has given the inventive director a perfect playground for elaborate puppetry. He tells Ariel's coming of age story while filling the stage with dozens of kaleidoscopic puppets." - James Lindhorst, Broadway World
"Thanks to the focused, creative vision of BUMT’s creative team...this contemporary take on sisterhood and the evolution of the American woman evokes more gravitas than we’ve witnessed in countless stagings of Legally Blonde since its 2007 debut on Broadway."
- Broadway World Nashville, Jeffrey Ellis
"Baker’s vision for the piece, in concert with her team of collaborators, delivers a production of 9 to 5: The Musical that is delightfully fresh and new, eschewing the tendency of some directors to offer a rehash of what’s already been seen on Broadway, on tour or in regional theater."
- Broadway World Nashville, Jeffrey Ellis
And the World Goes Round
Belmont University, Nashville, TN
"Hebbel's production is stylish and sparkling, belying the cast's youthfulness to create an altogether wonderful musical revue that Nashville audiences expect from BUMT production. There is an effervescence in Hebbel's clever choreography that showcases her actors at their very best."
- Broadway World Nashville, Jeffrey Ellis
The Sound of Music
A.D. Players, Houston, TX
“Oh, where to begin? This is the kind of show that reminds you that-above all-theatre is play. And there's simply too much genuine playfulness and joy happening over at A.D. Players for you to miss out on it.”
- Broadway World Houston, Audrey Morabito
Freaky Friday
Trevecca University, Nashville, TN
"Working with Casey as our choreographer on Freaky Friday last year was one of my favorite collaborative experiences in my 34 years of directing and teaching theatre on the university level. She’s consistently a giver and unfailingly positive and professional in her approach with the production team and the actors in rehearsal. She lights up the room! When we were wrestling with the staging for a couple of the more challenging numbers in the show, Casey worked carefully with me to hurdle those obstacles in creative and practical ways, always with a spirit of “yes,” which further demonstrated to me her combined powers of sensitivity with our student actors, her critical thinking artistically, and her solid understanding of the text. She’s a joy to work with, which is why I’m really excited to be working with her again this fall on She Loves Me.”
- Jeffrey Frame, Director
